Painless Surgery, Relaxing At Carole's, Happy Belated Birthday

Today I Smiled...

 ~ Surgery went off quite well, no pain, not even while putting in the IV. Hopefully this one will do the trick, the port is now placed in my right thigh. Surprisingly my IV was put in painlessly and quickly as well (my veins are so small and hard to find I once had four nurses and doctors searching and poking me on all four limbs to find a vein willing to cooperate!)

 ~ After surgery I went to Carole's house to stay for the night in case I had any problems occur. The surgery was on my leg and I don't have an elevator in the condo. I wanted to stay on a ground floor just in case! She made me waffles with strawberry jelly for lunch and a turkey burger with cheese and pickles for dinner. Very Yum! It was fun seeing their cat Pumpkin too!

 ~ After learning that my birthday was October 27 members of the hospital staff wished me a "Happy belated birthday!" That was so sweet!

Gnocci, Extra Sleep, Big Bars

Today I Smiled...

~ Carole made Gnocci for dinner, my absolute favorite and traditional birthday dinner

~ Receiving an extra hour to sleep this morning as Daylight Savings Time ended this morning, and will start back up on March 9, 2014

~ Carole's girls didn't just get mini candy bars from the houses they trick-or-treated at but big bars as well!

Trip #2, Redford Grill, Mini Mint Cookies

Today I Smiled...

~ Picking up two dozen Tim Horton muffins to bring to the OB birthday party for Pam Parker, and going in for trip part two

~ Dining at Redford Grill because I always wanted to try that place after work. Lunch was two big mozzarella sticks (bosco sticks), buffalo strips, and Mountain Dew

~ Enjoying the Mini Mint Moonbeams ordered from Carmelita, yummalucious!

~ Playing Words With Friends, one of my favorite IPad apps!

~ Seeing the picture of Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Jim that Bridget put on her Facebook page in remembrance of this wonderful wacky woman. Yesterday she would have been 29 again :)

~ Being able to watch my soaps, "The Young And The Restless" and "The Bold And The Beautiful" anytime I wish thanks to the CBS app - in fact I watched two of each, yesterday's and today's, this afternoon
